A beautiful waltz composed by Dexter Gordon in 1975, “Tivoli” is a more obscure jazz standard that deserves more recognition. The rest of the tune balances the rich and somewhat complicated harmonic movements of the first 16 bars – don’t let the beautiful melody fool you.
