“Honeysuckle Rose” is an early classic that produced many recordings that have made it sort of a throwaway tune. It can seem sort of stiff and uninteresting, although it’s a great tune to play if you’re just learning. Charlie Parker borrowed the changes for “Scrapple From The Apple”. Although it’s more of a throwback tune today, you can still have fun with this classic!
