“Blue Moon” evokes a feeling of innocence and even a little corniness. Don’t let that stop you from having fun with this one – it’ a great vehicle for improvisation. Musicians like Dave Brubeck and Dizzy Gillespie have helped make it more a jazz standard than something to be endured by a crooner. These are chord changes that should be practiced in other keys.
