Originally written to promote the club Birdland, “Lullaby of Birdland” was frequently performed at the club by artists such as Duke Ellington. The changes lend themselves well to improvisation and it’s a fun tune to play in a Latin Jazz style! Be sure to check out Tito Puente’s version below.
