Autumn Leaves

[Jacques Prévert Johnny Mercer Joseph Kosma]

Joseph Kosma wrote “Autumn Leaves” while living in Paris and originally called it “Les fueilles mortes” or “The Dead Leaves”. It wasn’t until 1951 when Johnny Mercer wrote the English lyrics that it became known in the US. Widely played, this is a standard that you should learn in all 12 keys and in multiple styles – like the Latin Jazz version here.
